captain priska's log : CROSSED PATH

Bebelapa hali yg lalu Priska ketemuan olang buat ulucan gawean for some stupid revision, turn out we talked bout the fuckin job for just like 3 minutes :) he's quite smart to digest what Priska want in a short time.....suddenly he asked Priska to have dinner with him..and since we met up in some cafe, so what the fuck...let's have dinner Priska said......and then we start to talked...most of all bout music (Since the job that we both involved is about music)...then suddenly after some conversations Priska start to felt like : "hey...musicwise this guy is in the same wavelength with Priska :)......a guy with not so bad music taste!"

We both had a crush for Tears for Fears......someone that looooved Tears for Fears like that has to be in the same league with Priska hehehehehe :)....."something start to click here" Priska thought and start telling him that Priska also like some Alphaville song and he said how about Starship.....not bad! well turn out he knows a lot bout bands and album that Priska considered "classic" we're into the "cool" british bands like Echo and the bunnyman, The Smiths, Joy Division and later New Order ( He also into O.M.D which Priska hates but nobody perfect right???).....and also some American and British(Europe) girl pop band in 80's like early Eddie Brickle, early Suzanne Vega, Indigo Girls, Sarah Brightman, Nena......and Priska insist ENYA also has to be line up there with this girls somewhere....we later talked bout Bikini Kill and Spitboy as the "true rock n roll" girls rather than modern day crap such as The Donnas or Alanis Morrisette...He used to be into Chemical Brother while Priska used to be into Daft Punk and Aphex Twin....and we both agree that we both rather listening to Atari teenage Riot rather than the Nine Inch Nail....

As long as rock music goes we're an equal....and Priska make sure it was BM (Before Metallica) and AM (After Metallica) we're into early Judas Priest, some AC DC records, some Iron Maiden records, Alice Cooper (yeah finally found a guy that agree KISS was a fucking lame poseur for Alice hehehehe) ...what made Priska also stunned was he also mention bout D.R.I...well they were GOD back then...Priska collect all of their album and we both agree the "Dirty Rotten" EP was the fastest records ever made before Metallica single handedly changed rock music with their "Kill em All" album....he said Metallica was done after "...and justice..." Priska said Metallica was already dead after "Ride the lightning"..:) yeah this guy not so bad !....He had a soft spot for the Seattle grunge crap thing which Priska hate...but we do agree that Mudhoney rock as fuck back then...He loves Primus and Stone Temple Pilot while Priska was more into Slayer ("Reign in Blood" IS THE MUST HAVE ALBUM OF ALL TIME) and Napalm Death ("Scum" era..:))

We both also agree that The Clash was also "more punker" than Sex pistols hehehehe that was a good one!....he loves The Jam and all the "mod" stuff while Priska was more into The Partisan or The Violators when the second burst of what the so called "punk" erupt in late 70's...we both love early Vice Squad albums

But the surprises of that day for Priska was the fact that he also collect an "88 style hardcore records" fuck! this guy amazing or what??...he's into Youth of Today, 25 ta Life and some Ten yard fights and those SXE bands which is kinda okay since basically we both loooooooove Gorilla Biscuit and 7second! He also mentioned some old Dutch band like LARM and BGK which Priska don't know shit since Priska only know modern day Seein Red! He was a diehard NYHC fans and in the process of collecting all their stuff that he can have his hand into... we talked about "scenes shit" in Jakarta and bandung and later talked bout politics and music...finally someguy with a match for Priska wit hehehehe

It was a hell of a conversation since we both talking non-stop for 3 hours it's almost midnight when we walk out of the cafe....he was going to see Koil, Kubik and Purgatory gigs in HardRock while all Priska want to do is just to go home and get some sleep. It was fun...the chances to Crossed Path with those kind of people is rare...it's not everyday you had a great conversation like that and a rare occation like this makes Priska wonder of all the strange face an unfamiliar people out there that Priska will meet in the future...yeah it was going to be a lot of fun hehehehe. Life is so fucking good!

Priska celing mikil kalo pola mikil ceceolang tuh "dibentuk" cama jaman dimana dia digedein celta pengetahuan dan wawacan yg ngelilinginnya.

Cebagai contoh, pola mikil "edit" kayak : Undo, group, masking dan banyak lagi yg telbiaca Priska pake cekalang2 ini tuh gak begitu kepake di jaman Priska belajal dulu lho. Yg Priska inget tuh dulu Priska gak pelnah mikil buat ngedit, jadi Priska telbiaca untuk celalu mikil "one take," mikil how to get everything right there on the spot, that's why Priska believe "the magic" is never in the "effect" process but in real life.... Priska celalu halus mikil dulu cebelum ngelakuin cecuatu, kebiacaanl ini juga yg bikin Priska gak telbiaca pake penghapus...kalena "Kecalahan" tuh buat Priska harusnya bukan dihapus tapi ditumpuk.....biarin aja ada bagian2 yg keliatan "calah" gak ucah dibuang kalena calah itu kan cebenelnya manuciawi...kecalahan tuh nunjukkin kalo ceceolang itu belajal lho.....

Jadinya buat Priska everything must be planned in detail to minimize error in the process, dan Priska ngelaca pola pikil ini belguna banged apalagi buat nangkep yg namanya "mood", Priska macih inget di jaman blon ada Premiere ama After effect, Priska celalu sketches everything di atas tisu ato keltas buat dapetin angle dan bloking yg bagus waktu ngeshoot buat acala kelualga...coalnya apa yg didapet di kamela video-8 Priska gak bica Priska apa-apain, mau ngedit kemana man? itu tuh cekital taun 92-93 an...WHAT YOU SEE (di viewfinder) IS WHAT YOU GET!...meski kualitas gambal hasil shoot-an Priska biacanya jelek tapi Priska gak peduli kalena yg Priska kejel celalu "mood"-nya, kalo lagi ultah ya mood ceneng, kalo kawinan ya mood caklal kalo ada yg meninggal mood hening, pokoknya Priska belajal "ngelaca" tuh dali balik viewfinder Camela Video-8 Priska....then several years later technology in post-process came along changing everything... waaaaaa enak banget neh dibikin mudah ama technology pikil Priska......

tapi..tapi...tapi yg lucu Priska kemudian cuka liat fenomena di bebelapa temen Priska yg udah telbukti jagooooooo banged di depan komputel ...tapi (loba pisan tapi euy he he he) kok kayak gak ada "nyawa"nya ya?bagus sih..terlalu bersih dan dingin sampe moodnya tuh cama cekali gak belaca! emang kelen sih design atau editan-nya...lacanya malah kayak cloning? kok milip banged catu cama laen..gak ada "gejolak"? malah kadang gak jelas apa maunya?? kayak mie instant dengan calipati yg cama cuma bumbunya aja dibedain dikit...kalo mau getu mah gak pellu jadi jagoan komputel atuh? dalipada cucah2 bikin kenapa gak kayak Priska aja cekalian telang2-an nge-rip off Emily the Strange, cekalian aja jelas2 moodnya dibikin nilu belat he he he he ...ngapain juga tanggung2??

Cetelah Priska ngoblol2 dengan bebelapa temen Priska yg kalyanya buat Priska "gak ada moodnya" ini Priska nemu benang melahnya, meleka telnyata udah mikil dengan logic yg beda dali Priska, meleka tuh mikilnya "cpecialicaci" : bukannya "whole" tapi "component"...dalipada mikil untuk ngambil "one take" meleka lebih cuka mikil ngedapetin di "post"....meleka mikil dengan logic buat di edit. Mateli shoot atau foto atau tulican tuh buat meleka mateli "mentah" buat nanti "diolah" di komputel......meleka buat Priska jadi kayak lobot yg cuma ngeljain part yg dikacihin ke meleka untuk HANYA ngeljain "komponen" yg halus meleka keljain tanpa peltanyaan dan gak meduliin the "bigger picture".....bahaya yg begini tuh biacanya kalo catu style nge-tlend langcung cemua stylenya kayak getu.....cuma ada catu source tanpa altelnatif

Kalo kayak gene gak inspiling donk! nah ini yg bikin Priska teltalik buat ngebohong...waktu cemua dicekital Priska keliatan cama, Priska mulai ngedabul dan ngebohong kalena paling gak dabulan dan kebohongan ini cecuatu yg beda...yg makin lama ngebentuk jadi mimpi....jadi cecuatu untuk bergerak....yg ngegelakin Priska untuk cali mood lain lagi...buat "idup" lagi....plain banged (pake d) gak seh kalo idup moodnya camaaaa telus...idup tuh halusnya kan belubah-ubah dan naek tulun kayak roller coaster....

Nah cali mood ini yg celalu jadi macalah buat Priska, kacus klice peladaban manucia dalam mencali mood : hati vs otak man! Priska celalu pelcaya cecuatu yg di create technology tuh lebih "plain" dan gak bakal bica ce-edan dan cebelnyawa yg di create oleh manucia cebenelnya...bukannya Priska anti teknologi lho, tapi pemikilan di belakang cemua mambo-jambo cpecial efek, grafic, image itu yg menalik buat Priska tuh pada intinya cuma buat ngedukung buat cali mood...

Kayak waktu Priska mau up-grade "Baby ail" cekalang, Priska lebih mikil akan jauh lebih manuciawi untuk ngembangin dan macukin cumbel daya manucia yg lebih valiatif dicini dalipada ngebangun inflacuktul alat dan teknologinya, "Baby ail" akan baik2 aja jika clew2nya macih halus belteliak, kalena belteliak adalah amat cangat manuciawi dan "hangat" dibanding teknologi blue tooth atau intercom...ya gak sih???..... ngumpul baleng mabok di gladak cambil nyanyi2 adalah jauh lebih baik dalipada tiap2 awaknya menyendili acik di depan note book macing2?? What Priska really meant is "baby ail" supposed to be a "life" ship....a "one take" logic kind of ship rather than the sophisticated pseudo-techno full of shit ship.....

Eh eh eh kemalen Priska ketemu Cetancantik donk :) ceneng deh...ceneng ketemu olang yg juga mau "cemuanya"and not just looking for a part of some mood, punya apa ya?? hmmm...oh ya namanya statement, yg dicetiap gelaknya bilang : Life is Here not elsewhere! life is about getting as much mood as we can!....thx to dat attitude Priska bica "maju" lagi....:)

Yeah...life is good kalena idup bica nge-capture belaneka lagam mood man.....dan bikin catu mood telnyata kalo diniatin teh amit2 hese' na euyyyy ;D
